Frequently Asked Questions

We have two options for alcohol consumption at our venue.

Option 1: We offer packages ranging from $12/person to $30/per person. The lessor packages are beer and wine only while the more expensive packages provide bride and groom signature drinks and top shelf spirits. If you’re planning for 100 guests, you must pay the per person rate for all of them. (don’t worry we have taken into account that not all will drink and adjusted our packages accordingly). Shots are NOT ALLOWED! We will pay the bartender(s). All you need to do is tip her! When alcohol is served, you must hire security and we can recommend an inexpensive option.

Option 2: For those on a budget, a cash bar is an option. You must use and pay our bartender(s) ($35/hour) and you can choose when to open and close the bar. Shots are NOT ALLOWED! When alcohol is served, you must hire security and we can recommend an inexpensive option.


Both Option 1 and 2 include the Vintage Hitch, our new mobile bar to serve you and your guests. You must purchase event insurance if you are having alcohol at your wedding/event. Email Jeff Knee at jknee@alfains.com or call him at (334) 538-9475.
We provide the back porch venue for your rehearsal dinner. If you choose 48-hour access, it is included in the access. We can provide full-service meal with decor or just the venue. We are flexible - it’s up to you!

To save your date, we require a $500 save the date booking fee. This fee is applied to your invoice as a payment but is nonrefundable. The remaining portion of your invoice is billed in monthly installments ending with the last one payable 30 days prior to the event. A $500 security deposit is taken that is refunded within 30 days of your event when no damage is done to the venue. Cabin rentals are billed separately but still due 30 days prior to the event.
The beauty of Dream Field is that there are plenty of wedding site options. The main site is our English Garden behind the barn, which is handicap accessible. It offers concrete sidewalks and easy guest access. A secondary site is a natural spot under large oak trees with gorgeous lake views. Perfect for a natural look, plus offering full shade during the spring, summer and fall months. This site features a grass aisle, which is not suitable for walkers. Our indoor barn site is climate controlled for the coldest or hottest day in Alabama. With pre-hung drapes and lights, it offers the perfect backdrop for your vision.
Because we only do one event daily, we are not able to offer discounts for receptions only.
After several experiences with self-catering, we have decided that the best way for you and our team to maintain a stress-free wedding day is for there to be a caterer in charge of the food. If your family owns a restaurant or catering business, they can serve as the caterer. Caterers are required to bus tables, remove reception trash, and clean up food areas and the kitchen before they depart the venue. They must provide proof of licensure and insurance before the day of the event.
Because we do only one wedding per weekend, micro weddings are the same price as a standard wedding.
It’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day according to an old wives tale, so we never fret a rainy day. Our barn is large enough that the dance floor turns into the wedding site without disturbing your reception area. Indoor weddings are beautiful, and with our pre-hung draping and twinkle lights, the perfect indoor space is already available. Once the wedding is over, a quick flip turns it back into your dance floor and the party begins. Our rain plan offers a major advantage to choosing our venue. There are still plenty of places to take fabulous photos undercover. After the rain is over, one of our favorite parts is when a rainbow shows up to give us dreamy photos to remember the rain.
Music should end at 11:30 P.M. or before. Barn lights turn off at 12:00 A.M., so everyone should have exited the building by 12:00 A.M.

Once that is taken care of, we will send your event contract and invoice for your day. Then, the fun begins - Planning your dream day!
We provide the option to rent the venue for 48 hours to allow you to decorate the day before and to take down the day after. We do not guarantee this day will be available until after you schedule it as we have other events besides weddings at the farm.
Yes and we prefer using real candles. They make for a beautiful ambiance.
Absolutely - you may hire a company to do a fireworks display. They will need to coordinate with us for safe places to shoot fireworks from. Sparklers are allowed in the parking lot only. All sparkler wires must be placed in our metal milk can after the exit to assure they are safe from igniting. No sparklers are allowed in the building due to fire code.
The day-of coordinator is on site to help things run smoothly. They will coordinate the wedding party entrance to the ceremony. They will welcome vendors and notify the person you appoint if any issues arise. They will do their best to see that your vision is carried out. They are not the caterer, florist, or cake designer. They don’t do makeup or hair. They will make your day the best it can be. If you plan for the caterer, florist and cake designer, they will allow your mom to spend the day with you, making those once-in-a-lifetime memories.
