What about alcohol at our event?

Dream Field does not serve alcohol. We allow you to serve with the following provisions.

Bartender present for event (must be licensed if serving more than beer and wine)

No underage service is allowed

Event insurance must cover the service of alcohol

No Sale of alcohol is allowed

When are payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?

To save your date, we require a $500 save the date booking fee. This fee is applied to your invoice as a payment but is non refundable. The remaining portion of your invoice is billed in monthly installments ending with the last one payable 30 days prior to the event. A $500 security deposit is taken that is refunded within 30 days of your event when no damage is done to the venue. Cabin rentals are billed separately but still due 30 days prior to the event.

What happens in case of rain?

It’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day according to an old wives tale so we never fret a rainy day. Our barn is large enough that the dance floor turns into the wedding site without disturbing your reception area. The inside weddings are beautiful and with our pre-hung draping and twinkle lights, the perfect indoor space is already available. Once the wedding is over, a quick flip turns it back into your dance floor and the party begins. You will discover our rain plan is one of the best things about our venue. There are still plenty of places to take fabulous photos undercover. The best part is when a rainbow shows up to give us dreamy photos to remember the rain.

What wedding sites are available?

The beauty of Dream Field is that there are plenty of wedding site options. The main one is our English Garden behind the barn and it handicapped accessible for your guests. If offers concrete sidewalks and easy guest access. A secondary site is a natural site under large oak trees with the gorgeous lake views. Perfect for a natural look plus in full shade during the spring, summer and fall months. Grass aisle so not suitable for walkers. Our indoor barn site is climate controlled for the coldest or hottest day in Alabama. With pre-hung drapes and lights, it offers the perfect backdrop for your vision.

What if I want to only have my reception at the farm?

Because we only do one event daily, we are not able to offer discounts for receptions only.

What about the cabins?

Each wedding party is different. We honor those differences by allowing you to rent one or all of our onsite cabins. If you don’t rent them all, they are open to others to rent during your wedding weekend. Since they are on the other side of the property, guests won’t interfere with your day. Do you still offer floral services?

We still offer floral coordination with our preferred vendors. With our day of coordination, we will make sure that items are set up to your vision on your dream day.

How do I reserve my dream date?

Reach out to us at dreamfieldfarmevents@gmail.com and let us know that you are ready to save your dream date. If it is still available, we will send you a save the date invoice. Once that is taken care of, we will send your event contract and invoice for your day. Then the fun begins! Planning your dream day!

What does the day of coordinator do?

The day of coordinator is on site to help things run smoothly. They will coordinate the wedding party entrance to the ceremony. They will welcome vendors and notify the person you appoint if any issues arise. They will do their best to see that your vision is carried out. They are not the caterer, florist, or cake designer. They don’t do makeup or hair. They will make your day the best it can be. If you plan for the caterer, florist and cake designer, they will allow your mom to spend the day with you making those once in a lifetime memories.

Can I self-cater my event?

After several experiences with self-catering, we have decided that the best way for you and us to maintain a stress free wedding day is for there to be a caterer in charge of the food. If your family owns a restaurant or catering business, then they can serve as the caterer. Caterers are required to bus tables and remove reception trash plus clean up food area and kitchen before they depart the venue.

Do you offer in-house catering?

Yes we have an inhouse events manager who will work with you to plan your perfect menu for your event. .

What about the rehearsal dinner?

We provide the back porch venue for your rehearsal dinner. If you choose 48 hour access it is included in the access. We can provide full service meal with decor or just the venue. We are flexible - it’s up to you!

Can fireworks be used on the property?

Absolutely you may hire a company to do a fireworks display. They will need to coordinate with us for safe places to shoot fireworks from. Sparklers are allowed in the parking lot only. All sparkler wires must be placed in our metal milk can after the exit to assure they are safe from igniting. No sparklers are allowed in the building due to fire code.

Can I decorate/rehearse the day before the wedding?

We provide the option to rent the venue for 48 hours to allow you to decorate the day before and to take down the day after. We do not guarantee this day will be available until after you schedule it as we have other events besides weddings at the farm.

I want a micro wedding - will it be less expensive?

Because we do only one wedding per weekend, micro weddings are the same price as a regular wedding

What time does music need to end?

Music should end at 11:30 or before. Barn lights turn off at 12:00 so everyone should have exited the building by 12:00.

Are candles allowed?

Candles are allowed as long as they are completely contained in a glass candle holder. Tapered candles are not allowed in the barn area. Tapered candles are allowed in the back porch venue.
